After blowing my own horn in my last couple of blog posts and talking about the beauty of Arizona, I figured that I would give my blog a big bowl of fresh ocean air while recognizing and promoting the work of fellow French (and also Canon equipped) photographer, Jérôme Houyvet of Lumières Marines (www.lumieresmarines.com), as he gets ready to release his new book in May 2016, entitled “Vol au-dessus de la Grande Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel” (Flight Over the Great Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel).
Last Saturday, July 24th 2010, was Scott Kelby’s 3rd annual Worldwide Photo Walk, which I attended with 9 other photographers in Laguna Beach, CA (and 33,485 from around the world) on a perfect Southern California late afternoon.
One of the cool things about a photo walk is hanging out with people who have a common interest in photography and the ability to share ideas, tips and advice while discovering a neighborhood. Because of the small number of photographers in our group (our walk was one of the last one added to the program), it allowed us to get to know each other better and definitely enhanced communication among us. We started our walk on the boardwalk at the main beach in front of the Laguna Beach lifeguard tower and looped around town before coming back to the beach just in time for a perfect California beach sunset.
Our stay in Cancun, Mexico for Dalila & Brad’s wedding included some very relaxing moments playing tourist. Sunny blue skies, warm sand and turquoise waters along with 90% humidity were all part of these wonderful Caribbean moments. Here are few of them…
