Studio Laurent is now storytelling on

Telling stories through my photography is one of my favorite thing to do. So I thought I’d talk about a web-based publishing platform for photo essays that I discovered some time ago but which I have under-utilized until now (I plan on changing that by the way!) That website is (not .com but just .co).

What better way than to have a support with clean, elegant, high quality presentation that is image-driven instead of text-driven like a blog or a service like… not like there’s anything wrong with these!

Above the Great Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel with Jérôme Houyvet

After blowing my own horn in my last couple of blog posts and talking about the beauty of Arizona, I figured that I would give my blog a big bowl of fresh ocean air while recognizing and promoting the work of fellow French (and also Canon equipped) photographer, Jérôme Houyvet of Lumières Marines (, as he gets ready to release his new book in May 2016, entitled “Vol au-dessus de la Grande Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel” (Flight Over the Great Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel).

April is a fantastic month for awards and recognition at Studio Laurent!… After finding out recently that another image of mine had been featured on and their Facebook page and receiving more than 2,700 likes and 660 shares (see my earlier blog post), today one of my image from Upper Antelope Canyon was awarded Photo of the Day on !!!

Cactus Blooms at McDowell Sonoran Preserve

Who said the Arizona landscape was just dry, brown and had no color? It’s Springtime in Arizona and that means even the desert surrounding Phoenix is coming to life with many different flowers of all colors blooming all over. I captured these images last night, just before sunset, at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in North Scottsdale. Enjoy!
