Arizona Scorpions Home Opener win over the Orange County Novastars

Glendale, AZ – On Saturday November 23, 2013, the Arizona Scorpions pro basketball team opened their 2013-14 season at Glendale Community College against the Orange County Novastars.

After a very tight first half, the two teams were tied 48-48 at the end of the second quarter. The third quarter ended with a small advantage for the Scorpions 73-71 but it’s in the fourth quarter that the Scorpions made their big push, which lead them to defeating the Novastars 111-89 for their first home victory this season.

The Arizona Scorpions are a franchise of the American Basketball Association (ABA) based in Phoenix with games for the 2013-2014 season played at Glendale Community College. The ABA is the largest and most diversified professional sports league in the US with over 90 teams and 75% of the teams owned by African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians & Women.
