Scott Kelby’s Third Annual Worldwide Photo Walk in Laguna Beach, CA

Last Saturday, July 24th 2010, was Scott Kelby’s 3rd annual Worldwide Photo Walk, which I attended with 9 other photographers in Laguna Beach, CA (and 33,485 from around the world) on a perfect Southern California late afternoon.

One of the cool things about a photo walk is hanging out with people who have a common interest in photography and the ability to share ideas, tips and advice while discovering a neighborhood. Because of the small number of photographers in our group (our walk was one of the last one added to the program), it allowed us to get to know each other better and definitely enhanced communication among us. We started our walk on the boardwalk at the main beach in front of the Laguna Beach lifeguard tower and looped around town before coming back to the beach just in time for a perfect California beach sunset.

About Studio Laurent

Laurent was born in Paris, France. After growing up in Versailles (just outside of Paris) for almost twenty years, he moved to the United States to pursue his college education. Now another twenty years later, he is still here and living in Arizona. In college, Laurent studied advertising, marketing, photojournalism, public relations, multimedia techniques & communication but his real passions are travel, sports (mostly tennis and skiing), photography and graphic design. Like many photographers, Laurent became interested in photography at a young age. Having a camera in hand pretty much for the past 20 years, he finally realized that photography was more than “just” a hobby. In 2007, Laurent decided to create Studio Laurent to combine his passions and talents into a creative photography and design studio. In his spare time, along with playing tennis, he enjoys traveling around the world or in his neighborhood to discover other cultures, new landscapes, new faces and immortilizing these special moments with his camera. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Indian Ocean and nearly half of the United States of America and looks forward to discovering more everyday. Laurent is currently based in Scottsdale, Arizona, but thanks to his international experience, is available to travel anywhere in the world for your photography needs.
